Backups and updates

Keep content and uploaded media together.

1. Include the entire application directory in your Plesk backup.
2. The database is private/var/site.sqlite. Uploaded media is public/uploads. Back them up together.
3. For a consistent backup, briefly stop PHP writes or use Plesk application backup.
4. Test a new version in a separate directory and test domain. Do not extract a ZIP over a working installation.
5. Restore the database and media from the same backup. Change your administrator password under Password management.
